When I started to attend they needed help building their new home of worship as well as a pianist. I could have helped with both. I am well versed in construction as well as a pianist since the age of 11. We attended four weeks during which the pastor actively pursued my participation. I would have been happy to have been a part and finally find a Church within this area that I could call home that included people of all races. However, I am not a new Christian and well versed with scripture so I based my participation, membership, or involvement on wanting to speak with the pastor about the beliefs and goals of the Church, the pastors orthodoxy, Theology, training in pastoral care, and to whom he was subjecting himself to ... especially since this is a new non-denominational church. I believe that my request to meet with the pastor or receive a call to talk about these vital issues are all completely appropriate considering I am going to invest my family into this Church. After asking him personally 3 times, calling a couple of times and leaving messages, and then when responding to several texts he sent, about playing piano, I would text back and ask again. This is when we started looking for a new Church but I still sent messages through other people I know that attend ... The pastor has never made an effort to have a 15 minute conversation with me about this Church and other biblical matters. To some my points may not have been important but they are biblical and correct. I don't want to get messed up with some prosperity Church or some "other Gospel" that Christ did not teach us.
